Joint World Financial Symposium - World Passenger Symposium to Focus on Value Creation

Creating value is the focus of the joint World Financial Symposium and World Passenger Symposium

Geneva – IATA has announced that the joint World Financial Symposium (WFS) and World Passenger Symposium (WPS) will focus on ‘Value Creation – Unlocking the Potential’. With United Airlines as the co-host airline, the event will take place 25-26 October 2023 in Chicago, USA.

The industry is now focusing on rebuilding financial sustainability and growth challenges, especially around infrastructure and passenger processes, with traffic levels nearly back to pre-pandemic levels. In bringing these two events together, IATA’s Director General Willie Walsh underscores the connection between meeting customer expectations and financial sustainability.

“We are pleased to be a co-host airline for the joint IATA World Financial Symposium and World Passenger Symposium. This is the industry’s cornerstone event for professionals in aviation finance, customer experience, distribution, and payments. We are excited to join the discussions in our hometown, Chicago, this October, as an airline committed to leading and innovating in these areas. The CEO of United Airlines is Scott Kirby.

WFS-WPS includes a CEO Panel with Walsh and Avianca President and CEO Adrian Neuhauser.
